We honestly feel like this is a conversation that needs to be had with so many more Christians especially before they get married. It’s not that women subordinate in a negative connotation, but that men are the priest of their household and should cover his family.
A man should love his wife as Christ loves the Church. Protecting and providing is one of the many ways that men show love.
These forms should not only implemented as you get married…you don’t just go from part time barista to “oh, hey…guess I gotta work longer and make more money” these are traits that we need to start practicing sooner. It is good to be prepared. Although tomorrow isn’t promised and we aren’t guaranteed a lot of things in life, preparing and keeping God as the center of it all will always be the most fruitful.
